So I definetly wanted a domain name related to art, artists or art supplies, somethin that was a quick give away of the sites central content. It's tricky to find something simple because most domains are taken, such as artworld, artcore, arthaven, artwiki and artpedia. Particularly, I wanted the name to allude to it's archive and database purposes like wiki or pedia, but not only are they taken, the art isn't solely that so it was a bit misleading. The art is a sharing site first.
SO anyway after that I've decided for artistgrabber.com because it sounds better than artgrabber, which implies taking art, but artistgrabber, I want it to say you're taking inspiration or ideas from fellow artists. You're picking your favorite artists and seeing what they use, or perhaps your favorite medium/supplies and seeing what artist create with them.
